Biography
I am a lifetime resident of Rockland County, and an alumnus of the Clarkstown School District. I have attended New City Elementary, Strawtown Elementary, Felix V. Festa Junior High School, and I’m a proud graduate of Clarkstown High School North, class of 1994.
After high school, I attended St. Thomas Aquinas College and received my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. I then decided to continue my education and received my Master’s of Science in Special Education, also through St. Thomas Aquinas College.
As a teacher at Clarkstown North High School, my primary focus is my classes in Biology, Earth Science Labs, and Human Impacts in Science.
Besides teaching, I am also very involved in the student play productions. I have been the student advisor to the stage crew for shows such as “Damn Yankees”, “Crazy For You”, “Me and My Girl”, and “Pippin”. I have also held such roles as technical director and lighting designer for these productions.
I was recently nominated for a Metropolitan Award for my lighting design in “Pippin”. I was able to integrate my work with the theater department with my Human Impacts in Science class by creating with my students a memorial garden for Matthew Shepard, inspired by my involvement with North’s fall production of “The Laramie Project”.
In my free time, I am an active member at the Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack.
